Voter Registration

The deadline to register to vote for the 2024 Presidential Primary is February 24 2024.

Paper copies of voter registration applications are available from the Town Clerk Office. 

 


 

Vote by Mail

Any registered voter has the option to vote by mail in Massachusetts. If you would like to vote by mail in the Presidential Primary, submit an application to the Town Clerk Office.

Applications for Vote by Mail for the Presidential Primary must be received no later than February 27 2024, by 5pm. 

Important: Remember to sign your application! And if you are not affiliated with a political party, you must choose either a Republican Primary ballot or a Democratic Primary ballot or a Libertarian Primary ballot on your application. Doing so will not change your party status.

Voting for Military and Overseas Voters

Shutesbury voters can vote from anywhere! Another country, the middle of the ocean, even from outer space. Military and overseas voters can return their ballots by mail or electronically. Submit the application to the Town Clerk Office by email or mail.

Information about OmniBallot: OmniBallot is a tool for marking and returning ballots electronically that is available to disabled voters who cannot independently mark a ballot, and to military and overseas voters. The platform is compatible with screen readers and you will not need a printer or scanner to return your ballot. Once your voting application has been accepted, the Town Clerk will email you with instructions for how to access and mark your ballot.


 

In Person Early Voting

In Person Early Voting will be available at Town Hall from February 24th until March 1st (excluding Sundays). 

Saturday February 24: 12pm to 4pm

Sunday February 25: CLOSED

Monday February 26: 12pm to 2pm

Tuesday February 27: 12pm to 2pm

Wednesday February 28: 4pm to 6pm

Thursday February 29: 12pm to 2pm

Friday March 1: 12pm to 2pm
