The Town of Shutesbury is seeking qualified applicant for the position of part-time Treasurer. The position is under the direction of the Select Board via the Town Administrator, and manages all monies due the town from various sources. The Treasurer is responsible for the custody of all funds and for reconciliation of bank balances. Oversees borrowing and investment. Manages tax title accounts. Prepares written financial reports. Processes payroll and maintains employee benefits records. The Treasurer shall be bonded as required by the MGL. The essential duties and responsibilities of the Town Treasurer are described in MGL Chapter 41 Section 35‑37, Chapter 44. A salaried position with a range of $23,500 to $28,000 per year depending on experience. Experience with Municipal Financing helpful. Hours and days are flexible.
