Improvements to the Old Town Beach

This committee, appointed by the Select Board on December 29, 2014, is charged with the design, implementation, and ongoing oversight of a small waterfront park to be created at the site of the former town beach on Randall Road.  At Annual Town Meeting in May 2015 the committee the town voted to name the park after the late Bill Elliott, who devoted many years to the protection of Lake Wyola.  It is now call William G. Elliott Waterfront Park.  Town Meeting 2015 also approved a $5,000 Community Preservation Grant for this project.

Elliott Park is adjacent to the boat launch, parking, restroom, and conservation trails. In October 2016 a gazebo was installed.  In June 2017 we added a raised flower bed.  The park will continue to be the home of the Library's kayak loan program.
