Town of Shutesbury
Special Town Meeting
December 7, 2006

At a legal meeting of the Inhabitants of the Town of Shutesbury
qualified to vote in elections and town affairs, held at the
Shutesbury Elementary School, 23 West Pelham Road on the seventh day
of December in the year two thousand six, in the presence of a quorum
the following business was conducted.

In the absence of a Moderator and with a quorum present, Town Clerk
Leslie Bracebridge opened the meeting at 7:05 PM.

Nominations were invited from the floor for a temporary Moderator for
the evening’s meeting.  In the absence of any nominations the gavel
was offered to and accepted by Select Board Chair Rebecca Torres.

Article 1.  A motion was made and seconded to transfer the sum of
$64,068 from Free Cash to reduce the FY07 tax rate.
Passed unanimously.

Article 2.  A motion was made and seconded to transfer an amount of up
to $26,460.65 from Free Cash to the Shutesbury Elementary School
Communications Account for the purpose of replacing the current
telephone system, with a communication system (to include a telephone,
intercom and public address system.)
Passed unanimously.
               
The meeting was dissolved at 7:35 P.M.
