their unsecured house during the day.
1630 Medical Assist, Leverett Rd. - Officer assisted EMS with a request for medical assistance.

regarding an ongoing investigation.
1845 Assist Other Dept., Leverett PD - Officer assisted a Leverett officer on a motor vehicle stop.
1915 Info from Other Dept., Gill PD - Information regarding past B&E exchanged with Gill Police.

0850 MVA, School House Rd. - Officer investigated a two car accident, no injuries. Both
vehicles towed from scene.
1310 Assist Other Dept., Leverett PD - Officer responded to the Leverett Co-op to assist
with a shoplifting suspect.
1355 MVA, School House Rd. - Officer investigated two vehicle accident, no injuries; both
vehicles driven from scene.
1840 Suspicious Activity, Wendell Rd. - Resident reported "graffiti" to oil fill pipe.

0830 Road Closure, Montague Rd. - Montague Rd. closed to thru traffic to facilitate tree
work for power lines.
1415 Traffic Stop, Leverett Rd. - Citation issued for speeding.
1430 Road Opened, Montague Rd. -Montague Rd. opened to all traffic.
1910 MVA, Pelham Hill Rd. - Officer investigated a three car accident involving a moose.
Environmental Police responded; moose was euthanized. Two vehicles towed from scene,
third vehicle left the scene without being identified.
06 February
0700 MVA, Sand Hill Rd. - Officer investigated a single vehicle crash, no injuries. Vehicle was
towed from scene.
1005 Assist Other Dept., Sunderland PD - Officer assisted Sunderland Police at an accident
involving a train hitting a car.
1100 Suspicious Activity, Lake Wyola - Officer investigated a report of snowmobiles being
operated in an unsafe manner at Lake Wyola.
07 February
1400 Traffic Stop, Leverett Rd. - Citation issued for speeding.
1600 Dog Complaint, Elementary School - Officer found loose dog in the area of the elementary
school. Animal returned to owner with info regarding Town bylaws.
1610 Disturbance, Lake Wyola - Officers from Shutesbury and Leverett investigated a complaint
of a confrontation at Lake Wyola involving snowmobilers and skaters. All parties advised
to seek their own complaints.
1800 Fire, Wendell Rd. - Officer investigated an open fire at a Wendell Rd. residence. Fire
was extinguished after finding no burn permit had been filed.

0815 Road Closure, Pratt Corner Rd. - Notification made of partial road closure on Pratt
Corner Rd. for tree crews working on power lines.
1145 Well being Check, Pelham Hill Rd. - Officers conducted a well being check on a Pelham Hill
Rd. resident.

1145 Traffic Stop, Leverett Rd. - Citation issued for speeding.

1050 Assist Other Dept., SFD - Officer responded with Shutesbury Fire personnel to a Baker Rd
residence for the activation of a carbon monoxide detector.
1830 Contact Other Dept., Highway - Officer requested Highway personnel respond to sand Town roads.

1130 Hazard, West Pelham Rd. - Officer investigated a complaint that a West Pelham Rd. resident
has been moving snow into the roadway creating a hazard to traffic.
1200 Property Damage, Pratt Corner Rd. - Resident reported that two mailboxes had been damaged
by tree crews working in the area. Company supervisor advised for repair.
1320 Assist Other Dept., New Salem PD - Officer assisted New Salem with an arrest warrant.
1550 Well being Check, West Pelham Rd. - Officers spoke with a West Pelham Rd. resident at the
request of a third party.

0900 Summons Service, Wendell Rd. - Officer attempted to serve a summons to a Wendell Rd.
resident; negative contact.
1145 Assist Other Dept., Fire Department - Officer assisted Leverett and Shutesbury Fire
personnel at a Cushman Rd. residence.
