1600 Direct Enforcement, Town wide - Officer conducting Governors Highway Safety Grant traffic enforcement.
        9 citations written.

1605 Residential Checks - Owners of two homes contacted following a check by officers.

2120 Traffic Stop, Pelham Hill Rd. - Citation issued for speeding.

 

17 December

1100 Direct Enforcement, Town wide - Officer conducting Governors Highway Safety Grant traffic enforcement;
        9 citations issued.

1400 Info. to Other Dept. - Officers exchanged information with UMass PD and Washington County Maine Sheriff's
        department regarding a joint investigation.

1645 Traffic Stop, Cooleyville Rd. - Citation issued for speeding.

 

18 December

1400 Officer Requested, Wendell Rd. - Shutesbury and State Police responded to a Wendell Rd. residence to
        assist with a mental health issue and well being of a child matter.

1745 Animal Complaint, West Pelham rd. - Officer investigated a barking dog complaint from a West Pelham Rd resident.

2215 Assist Other Department, Leverett Rd. - Officer assisted Amherst PD in serving a restraining order
         to a Leverett Rd. resident.

19 December

1315 Assist Other Department, Sunderland - Officers from Shutesburyand Leverett responded to a Sunderland
        apartment complex to assist Sunderland PD with a domestic dispute.

1700 Motor Vehicle Accident, Rte. 202 - Officers responded to a reported single motor vehicle accident.
        Amherst Fire Dept ambulance responded; vehicle towed from scene.

1845 Suspicious Person, Pratt Corner Rd. - Officers investigated a report of a suspicious male standing at the
        intersection of Cross Rd and Pratt Corner Rd.; GOA.

21 December

1015 Assist Fire Dept., West Pelham Rd. - Officer responded to a West Pelham Rd. residence to assist Fire Dept.
        with reported chimney fire.

1745 Assist Fire Department, Pratt Corner Rd. - Officer responded to a Pratt Corner Rd. residence to assist Fire Dept.
       with reported stove fire.

2010 911-Emergency Call, Wendell Rd. - Shutesbury Officer assisted by Sunderland PD on response to a Wendell Rd.
        residence for a reported domestic dispute in progress.

22 December

1225 911-Emergency Hang up Call, 64 January Hills Rd. - Officer responded to a January Hills Rd. residence for a
         reported 911 hang-up call; determined to be a misdial.

1935 Traffic Stop, Cushman Rd. - Citation issued for speeding.

2025 Parking Complaint, Elementary School - Officer investigated a complaint of vehicles obstructing West Pelham Rd.
        and the fire lane at the elementary school related to a function at the school.  Vehicles in fire lane were moved,
         officer assisted with traffic control on West Pelham Rd.; Fire Chief advised of issues.

23 December

1300 Traffic Complaint, Montague Rd. - Officer investigated a report from a Montague Rd resident regarding an ongoing
        issue with a speeding vehicle in the neighborhood.

1430 Assist Other Department, Mass. State Police - Officer assisted State Police with investigation of past motor
        vehicle accident.

24 December

1000 Domestic, Wendell Rd. - Officer conducted investigation of ongoing domestic issues between a Wendell Rd resident
         and a Sunderland resident.

1130 Vandalism, Baker Rd. - Officer investigated a report of vandalism to 2 motor vehicles, tires slashed, and the
         residence on 92 Baker Rd., window broken.

1600 Direct Enforcement, Town wide - Officer conducting Governors Highway Safety Grant traffic enforcement;
         6 citations issued.

1635 Restraining Order, Wendell Rd. - Officer served a restraining order to a Wendell Rd. resident.

1750 Officer Requested, Wendell Rd. - Officers responded to a Wendell Rd.  residence for a reported domestic in progress.
        Resulting investigation resulted in a trespass notice being served to Christopher WELLS, 29, of Northampton.

1905 Request for Officer, Great Pines Rd. - Officer requested for ongoing dispute between neighbors.

 

26 December

1225 Suspicious Activity, West Pelham Rd. - Request for an officer regarding hunting on posted property.  Individuals
         located, identified, and advised.  by officer.

1850 Assist Other Agency, New Salem - New Salem Fire Department requested police assistance w/ crowd at working
          structure fire; no NSPD unit available.  Shutesbury officer responded with State Police to assist.

1955 Suspicious Person, Leverett Rd. - Officer requested to check on a cyclist in the S-curve section of Leverett Rd.
        Responding officer was unable to locate individual.

2155 Assist Motorist, Wendell Rd. - Officer assisted motorist with vehicle which had slid off roadway due to road conditions.

 

27 December

1615 Traffic Stop, Wendell Rd. - Citation/Summons issued for expired registration and no license in possession.

 

28 December

0750 MVA, Wendell Rd. - Officer responded to a single motor vehicle v. utility pole accident, no injuries, on Wendell Rd.
        Vehicle towed and National Grid contacted to replace pole.

29 December

0715 Info. Received, Merrill Dr. - County dispatch advised of a vehicle repossession which had occurred
        at a Merrill Dr. residence.

1120 911 Emergency Call, Merrill Dr.- Resident called 911 to report vehicle had been stolen.  Resident was advised
         of repossession and advised to contact their lender.

1545 Request for Well Being Check, West Pelham Rd. - Resident requested a well being check on a West Pelham Rd.
resident after not being able to contact them by phone.  Responding officers found a telephone line problem and advised requesting party.

1705 Traffic Stop, Lakeview Rd. - Citation issued for speeding. 

Assist Other Dept., Leverett Rd.- Officer responded with Fire  Dept. to investigate a malfunctioning furnace.

2125 DMV, Locks Pond Rd. - Officer checking on a disabled vehicle at Locks Pond Rd. and Lake Dr. found the operator
to be in violation of a restraining order.  James TORREY, 23, of Ludlow was arrested for violation of a restraining order
with assistance of Leverett and Sunderland Police.

 

30 December

1130 Traffic Stop, Leverett Rd. - Citation issued for speeding.

1500 Directed Traffic Enforcement, Town-wide - Officer issued 12 traffic citations while working the Governor's Highway
         Safety Bureau funded grant program.

1940 Assist Other Dept., Montague Rd. - Officer responded to a Montague residence to assist SFD with a reported
         smoke alarm sounding.

2150 Animal Complaint, January Hills Rd. - Officer responded to January Hills Rd. to investigate a complaint of a
        barking dog; unfounded.

2230 Assist Other Dept., Sunderland - Shutesbury and Leverett officers responded to a Sunderland apartment
        complex to assist Sunderland police at a reported disturbance.
