1800 Traffic Stop, Leverett Rd. - Citation issued for speeding.

17 October

1115 Traffic Stop, Leverett Rd. – Citation issued for speeding.

1400 Traffic Stop, Cooleyville Rd. – Citation issued for speeding.

1650 Traffic Hazard, Wendell Rd. – Officer requested for vehicles parked on roadway obstructing traffic flow.

 

18 October

1340 Emergency 911 Hang-up, Wendell Rd. – Call determined to be phone line issue; Verizon notified.

1745 MVA, Cooleyville Rd. – Officer investigated a minor two car accident in the Spears Library parking lot. 
         No citations issued.

 

19 October

1630 Criminal Harassment, West Pelham Rd. – Officer investigated complaint of criminal harassment.

2030 Traffic Stop, West Pelham Rd. – Citation issued for speeding.

 

20 October

1610 Suspicious Activity, Wendell Rd. – Officer investigated a report of a phone scam following a call placed
         to the residence.  (Informational notice posted to Police Web site.)

 

21 October

1550 Traffic Stop, Leverett Rd. – Citation issued for marked lanes and fail to use care.

1530 Traffic Stop, Leverett Rd. – Citation issued for speeding.

 

23 October

1515 Traffic Stop, Leverett Rd. – Citation issued for speeding.

1905 Traffic Stop, Wendell Rd. – Citation issued for speeding.

1925 Traffic Stop, Leverett Rd. – Citation issued for speeding.

1930 Info from Other Agency, Sunderland P.D. –Sunderland PD advised a violation of a restraining order by a Wendell Rd
        resident. Following investigation, warrant issued by Greenfield District Court.

2125 Citizen Complaint, Wendell Rd. – Resident reported a threat made by telephone.  Following investigation information
        referred to Sunderland PD.

1645 Suspicious Vehicle, Prescott Rd. - Officer investigated small moving truck leaving a Prescott Rd. residence.

 

24 October

0745 Assist Function, Town Center – Officer assisted group with traffic control.

0840 Reported Power Outage, Lakeview Rd. – Officer informed of power out in lake area: National Grid advised. 
        Power restored at 1020.

1815 DMV, Prescott Rd. – Officer assisted motorist with disabled vehicle.  Arrangements made by owner to have
         vehicle towed.

2230 Assist Other Department, Leverett – Officer informed of tree branches down wires on North Leverett Rd. 
        Shutesbury Officer assisted until Leverett Chief responded to scene.

2330 Hazard, Route 202 – Caller reported trees down on Rte  202. Assisted New Salem PD with clearing roadway.

 

25 October

1015 Assist Group, Town center – Officer assisted group with traffic control for Town Center function.

1300 Traffic Stop, Leverett Rd. – Citation issued for speeding and failure to notify RMV of address change.

 

26 October

1545 Residential B&E, Old Egypt Rd. – Officers responded to Old Egypt Rd.  residence with State Police to investigate
         a residential breaking and entering.

1915 Residential B&E, Wendell Rd. – Investigation of prior B&E with State Police at Old Egypt Rd. residence resulted
         in report of B&E at Wendell Rd. residence.  Criminal complaints issued for suspects in both incidents.

 

27 October

1020 MVA, Leverett Rd. – Officers responded with EMS to a single vehicle accident on Leverett Rd.  Assisted by units
        from Leverett and Amherst Fire Depts.  Operator transported by Amherst Fire. Citations issued for speeding and
         marked lanes violation.

1845 Assist Other Department, State Police – Officer assisted State Police serving a warrant to an Old Egypt Rd. resident.
           Yaseen Elghorfi, 25, 12 Old Egypt Rd., was arrested on a warrant issued by Newton District Court.

 

28 October

1620 Disturbance, Wendell Rd. – Officers responded to a reported domestic disturbance at a Wendell Rd. residence.

1635 MVA, Locks Pond Rd.- Officers investigating a domestic disturbance were informed of a prior motor vehicle accident on
       Locks Pond Rd.  Information received from vehicle operator who declined medical attention..  Location of accident
       identified after a Locks Pond Rd. resident reported damage to their mailbox and surrounding area.

2135 Traffic Stop, Leverett Rd. – Citation issued for defective equipment.

 

29 October

1320 Medical Assistance, Baker Rd. - Officer responded to a Baker Rd. residence to assist EMS personnel.

1755 Traffic Stop, Leverett Rd. – Citation issued for speeding/State inspection violation.

2050 Suspicious Vehicle, Cushman Rd. – Officers checked on a motor vehicle parked in the Atkins reservoir area
        with extensive body damage/unable to locate operator.

2125 Motor Vehicle Complaint, Leverett Rd. – Officer initiated traffic stop following a complaint from Fire Dept. regarding
        unsafe operation through training area.  Operator was cited for defective equipment and no registration in possession.

2145 Traffic Stop, Montague Rd. – Marked lanes violation.

 

30 October

1320 Domestic, West Pelham Rd. – Officer responded to a West Pelham Rd residence with Leverett Police to investigate a
   reported domestic dispute. Daniel Fifield, 34, 134 West Pelham Rd., was arrested on a charge of Domestic Assault & Battery.

1850 OUI, Route 202 – Robert McPherson, 84, of Athol was arrested and charged with Drunk Driving (4th Offense),
        Failure to Stop for a Police Officer, Negligent Operation of a M/V, Marked Lanes Violation, Open Container violation, and
        Failure to Use Seat     Belt.  Shutesbury Police were assisted by Pelham, Belchertown, and Massachusetts State Police
        following a pursuit which ended in Pelham near the Belchertown line on Rte 202.

31 October

0920 Assist Citizen, West Pelham Rd. Officer assisted a person with the removal of a vehicle from a West Pelham Rd. residence.

1055 Check the Welfare, West Pelham Rd. – Officers were requested to check on the well being of a West Pelham Rd. resident. 
        Officer responded with reporting party and determined resident was fine.

1415 Traffic Stop, Leverett Rd. – Citation issued for speeding and defective equipment.

1625 Traffic Stop, Wendell Rd. – Citation issued for speeding.

1750 Traffic Stop, Cooleyville Rd. –Officer stopped a motor vehicle on Cooleyville Rd. after New Salem Police reported
        the vehicle to operating in an erratic manner.

1610 Well Being Check, West Pelham Rd. – Officer checked the well being of a West Pelham Rd. Resident.

1730 Direct Enforcement, Leverett Rd. – Officers engaged in traffic control related to Town Halloween event at Fire Station.

2100 Alarm Response, West Pelham Rd. – Officer responded to reported smoke alarms sounding at a West Pelham residence;
         found to be secure.
