Leverett-Cooleyville-Prescott Road Reconstruction Project
Work has begun on the reconstruction of Leverett, Cooleyville, and Prescott Roads. This project involves the complete recovery and resurfacing of the road, installation of drainage culverts and pipes, utility pole setbacks, and tree maintenance. The scope of the work is from Prescott Road at Route 202, west to Leverett Road, to the junction of Pratt Corner Road. Completion of the project is expected by year's end.
May 5th
The first drainage line on Leverett Rd has been installed from Pratt Corner
to Wendell Rd. This week, work will begin on connecting storm drains on
Leverett Rd. Expect delays to be more frequent but should not exceed 10-15
minutes.
The uneven road surface will remain in its present condition until reclaiming
work begins, no earlier than mid-July. Alternate routes are recomended.
April 14th - 27th Work continues on installation of new drainage for Leverett Rd. Excavation of road continuing east from West Pelham Rd. Anticipate minimim delays of 10-12 minutes for east and west bound traffic.
Week of April 7th - Drainage work will continue at the west end of Leverett Road, moving east, with one lane traffic in the area of work. Traffic may be stopped in both directions as needed between the hours of 7am and 5:30pm. Expect delays on Leverett Road between Pratt Corner Road and West Pelham Road and consider alternate routes.
Bridge Closed To All Traffic
Starting Monday, April 7th the bridge from Leverett to Amherst on E. Leverett Road and Cushman Road will be closed to all traffic. No access to Amherst south of Teawaddle Road or north to Leverett beyond Leverett Road in Amherst.

Phone Scam Alert
A caller stating he was from a company called MED-CROVISION offered a resident a card which would provide free prescription medications for life if the resident would give their bank account number. The caller ID indicated he was calling from 401 314 3522 and he provided a call back number of 866 060 9617. The caller is extremely persistent and implied that he would have the resident's Social Security checks stopped if they did not provide their bank account number
NEVER GIVE OUT ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE TO ANYONE.

If you have caller ID, write down the number that appears in the caller ID box. Attempt to get the caller's name and a call back number and notify the Police Department immediately.
