01 March   

0940 Vehicle Checks, Cushman RD.- Officer checked on 4 vehicles
     reported to have been parked at the M&M trailhead near the
     reservoir.

0950 Assist Other Dept., DPW- Officer received a complaint from the
     highway department regarding resident placing snow from their
     property on to Town road.


1000 DMV, West Pelham Rd.- Officer assisted resident whose car was
     stuck in driveway.  With assistance from another citizen, vehicle
     was freed.

1100 Traffic Complaint, Walk-in- Resident reported that two vehicles
     were obstructing flow of traffic and snow removal operations on
     West Pelham Rd.  Officer located registered owners and resolved
     the matter.

1610 Traffic Complaint, Wendell Rd.- Officers observed several
     snowmobiles operating on Wendell Rd.  Operators advised of
     potential actions to be taken by officers.  Group returned to
     marked trail area.

1700 Residential Alarm, Sumner Mountain- Responding officer met with
     homeowner who reported the alarm had bee accidental.


02 March

1400 Animal Complaint, King Rd.- Officer took report from citizen who
     reported a loose dog had attacked his dog.  Dog owner identified
     and fined for Town bylaw violation.

1730 Traffic Stop, Leverett Rd. - Citation issued for speeding.


03 March

1135 Traffic Stop, Rte. 202-Citation issued for speeding.

1325 Traffic Stop, Leverett Rd. – Citation issued for speeding.

1335 Assist Other Agency, New Salem P.D.- Officer assisted with
     attempt to locate vehicle being operated erratically on Rte. 202.
     GOA.

1935 Traffic Stop, Wendell Rd.- Citation/Summons issued for expired
     license.


05 March

1800 Parking Complaint, West Pelham Rd. –Officer responded to a
     West Pelham Rd. residence to investigate a report of a vehicle
     obstructing road.  Vehicle owner contacted.


06 March

1530 Hazard, Locks Pond Rd.- Highway Dept. contacted regarding several
     reports of icy road conditions.

1600 Animal Complaint, Pratt Corner Rd. – Report of stray dog on
     Pratt Corner Rd.  Dog Officer unavailable.  Leverett dog officer
     responded and took control of animal.


07 March

0830 Parking Complaint, January Hills Rd.- Officer checked a reported
     parking issue on January Hills Rd. making it difficult for buses
     to pass.  Homeowner contacted by officer, vehicles moved.

1050 Traffic Stop, Leverett Rd. – Citation issued for speeding.

1400 Traffic Stop, Leverett Rd. –Citation issued for speeding.

1515 Hazard, Locks Pond Rd.- Citizen reported icy road conditions on
     Wendell and Locks Pond RD.  Highway Dept. advised and responded.

1700 Traffic Stop, Wendell Rd. Citation issued for speeding and
     expired State inspection.


08 March

0800 Stolen M/V, Lake Wyola- Report taken for a stolen motor vehicle.

1115 Information from Other Agency, Westfield P.D. –Westfield
     P.D. advised they had recovered vehicle reported as stolen.
     Vehicle owner notified.

2130 Residential Alarm, N. Laurel Ln.- Officer responded to a
     residential burglar alarm.  Officer determined activation caused
     by high winds.


09 March

1300 Traffic Stop, Prescott Rd. –Citation issued for speeding,
     marked lane violation.

1400 Traffic Stop, Cooleyville Rd. – Citation issued for speeding.

1725 Traffic Stop, Leverett Rd. –Citation issued for speeding.

1800 DMV, Locks Pond Rd.- Vehicle with flat tire and no spare.
     Operator stated they would have vehicle moved within the hour.


10 March

1755 Traffic Stop, Stowell Rd.- Citation issued for speeding.

1820 Traffic Stop, Wendell Rd.- Citation issued for speeding and
     expired State inspection.

2040 Medical Assist, Pratt Corner Rd. – Officer responded with Town
     EMT’s to reported medical problem.  Patient transported by AFD
     ambulance.


11 March

0805 Summons Service, Leverett Rd –Summons served in hand by
     officer.

0815 Summons Service, Leverett Rd. –Summons served in hand by
     officer.

1530 Vehicle Fire, Montague Rd.- Officer responded to a reported
     vehicle fire, no injuries, at Montague and Leverett Rd.  Passing
     off duty Highway Dept .employee had extinguished fire and Fire
     Chief was on scene; vehicle was towed from scene.


12 March

0805 MVA, Schoolhouse Rd.- Officer took report for a two vehicle
     accident, no injuries, on Schoolhouse Rd.  Weather was determined
     to be major cause of accident.  One vehicle was towed form scene,
     second vehicle was able to drive from scene under own power.


14 March

1630 DMV, Leverett Rd. –Officer contacted a tow company for
     operator of disabled vehicle.

1925 Traffic Stop, Leverett Rd.- Citation issued for failure to keep
     right.


15 March

1900 Citizen Complaint, Leverett Rd.- Resident requested to speak with
     an officer regarding ongoing issue with neighbor.
