0945 Traffic Stop, Pelham Hill Rd.- Citation issued for speeding.

1020 Suspicious Vehicle, Wendell Rd.- Officer checked on unattended
     vehicle in the area of the church.  Vehicle status checked okay.
 
1430 Assist Citizen, Pelham Hill Rd.- Officer assisted resident with
     paperwork regarding prior motor vehicle accident.
 
1630 Assist Other Department, New Salem- New Salem officer requested
     assistance reference a DMV on Rte 202.
 
1830 911 Emergency Hang-Up, Ames Haven Rd.- Officer dispatched to
     residence to investigate a 911 hang-up call.  Resident stated
     accidental misdial.
 
1900 Summons Service, West Pelham Rd.- Officer attempted to serve
     summons to West Pelham Rd. resident; no contact.
 

17 January

0820 DMV, Lake View Rd.- Officer investigated a report stating a
     vehicle appeared to be abandoned in the travel lane of Lake View
     Rd.  No operator found in area, vehicle towed.
 
0925 MVA, Pelham Hill Rd.- Officer investigated a report of a single
     vehicle accident, no injuries, no property damage.
 
1120 Traffic Stop, Wendell Rd.- Citation issued for speeding.
 

18 January

1000 DMV, Wendell Rd.- Officer located owner of DMV and verified
     vehicle would be moved.
 
1135 Traffic Stop, Leverett Rd.- Warning issued for obstructed
     operation.
 
1620 Info. From Other Agency, S.P. Belchertown- State Police requested
     information regarding investigation of former Town resident.
              
1645 Assist Other Agency, Leverett- Officer responded to report of MVA
     near Town line.  accident found to be in Leverett; Officer
     assisted MSP.


19 January

0905 Suspicious Activity, Lake Area- Lake area resident reported
     suspicious activity near her home.  Investigation found that
     footprints in snow had been made by officer checking the
     property.
 
0940 Alarm Response, West Pelham Rd.- Officer responded to alarm
     activation at elementary school.  Activation found to be
     accidental by staff member.
 
1025 Directed Enforcement, Pelham Hill Rd.- Officer conducted radar
     enforcement on Pelham Hill Rd after receiving several complaints
     of speeding from residents in that area.  Eight citations issued
     for speeding.
 
1315 Suspicious Activity, Montague Rd.-Resident of Montague
     Rd. reported finding parts of a small farm animal in wooded area
     near residence.


21 January

1615 In-Station Report, MVA- Citizen came into station to request
     information regarding a prior motor vehicle accident.


22 January

1120 Traffic Stop, Leverett Rd.- Citation issued for speeding.
 
1400 Traffic Stop, Rte 202- Citation issued for speeding.
 
1520 Traffic Safety, School Bus Route- Officers followed several buses
     to observe compliance by other traffiic.
 
1535 DMV, Locks Pond Rd.- Officer checked on vehicle off road.  Spoke
     with resident operator who stated vehicle had slid as she
     attempted to enter driveway; no injuries, no damage.
 
1620 Road Hazard, Locks Pond Rd.- Town highway supervisor contacted
     and requested sand of Locks Pond Rd. due to icy conditions in
     several spots.
 
1650 DMV, Locks Pond Rd.- Officer assisted motorist who had skidded
     off road.  Operator had already contacted AAA for tow.  No
     injuries, minor property damage.  Officer remained on scene until
     tow vehicle arrived.


23 January

0900 Summons Service, West Pelham Rd.- Attempted to serve summons;
     negative contact.
 
1700 Medical Call, Great Pines- Officer assisted Fire Dept. with
     medical call on Great Pines Drive.


24 January

0855 Summons Service, West Pelham Rd.- Summons served in hand to West
     Pelham Rd.  resident.
 
1200 Animal Complaint, Locks Pond Rd.- Officer took report of several
     loose dogs on Locks Pond Rd.
 
1335 Assist Citizen, Town Hall- Officer provided courtesy transport to
     Town resident.
 

26 January

1200 Traffic Stops, Pelham Hill Rd.- Two citations issued for
     speeding.
 
1300 Traffic Stops, Leverett Rd.- Citation issued for speeding.
 
1940 911 Hang-up, Lake View Rd.- Officer responded to reported 911
     hang-up.  Resident contacted and reported misdial.
 

27 January

1100 Traffic Stop, Leverett Rd.- Citation issued for speed.
 
1145 Traffic Stop, Leverett Rd.- Citation issued for speeding.
 
1310 Traffic STop, Leveret Rd.- Citation issued for speeding.
   
1710 Assist Other Dept., MSP- Officer assisted MSP with accident with
     injuries on Rte 202.


28 January

1215 Traffic Enforcement, Rte 202- Four citations issued for speeding.
 
1810 Assist Other Dept., SFD- Officer responded with Shutesbury Fire
     Dept. units to Montague Rd. residence for smoke detectors
     sounding.
 
2125 Medical Assist, Locks Pond Rd.- Officer assisted SFD responders
     with medical call on Locks Pond Rd Patient transported by Amherst
     Fire Dept.


31 January

1515 Suspicious Activity, Wendell Rd.- Resident reported suspicious
     vehcile and person at neighbor's house.  Responding officer
     determined that individual was delivering wood stove pellets.
