1440 Traffic Stop, Wendell Rd.- Citation issued for speeding, expired
     inspection sticker.
 
1530 Traffic Stop, Cooleyville Rd.- Citation issued for expired
     inspection sticker.
 
1810 DMV, Rte 202- Officer checked on vehicle with mechanical
     problems, Rte 202 near New Salem line.  Operator stated
     assistance was enroute.

 
17 August

1130 MVA, Pratt Corner Rd.- Officer investigated single car accident
     on Pratt Corner Rd. Operator and passenger transported to
     hospital.
 
1500 Animal Complaint, Leverett Rd.- Officer responded to report of
     loose horses on lawn of Leverett Rd. residence.  Homeowner stated
     the animals were just grazing, not loose.
 
1830 Traffic Stop, West Pelham Rd.- Citation issued for speeding.
 
1840 Traffic Stop, West Pelham Rd.- Citation issued for speeding.
 
1900 Traffic Stop, West Pelham Rd.- Citation issued for speeding.
 
2015 Assist Citizen, Lakeview Rd.- Officer condicted well being check
     at the request of an out of town friend.


18 August

0830 Suspicious Activity, Leverett Rd.- Resident requested to speak
     with an officer regarding a civil matter.
 
1130 Traffic Stop, Leverett Rd.- Citation issued for speeding.
 
1230 Assist Citizen, Shore Dr.- Resident reported power outage on east
     side of lake.  National Grid notified and repair crew dispatched.


19 August

1100 Traffic Stops, Wendell Rd.- Three citations issued for speeding.
 

20 August

0845 Citizen Complaint, Leverett Rd.- Resident requested to speak with
     an officer regarding a neighbor possibly using a residence for an
     unauthorized business use.
 
0930 Animal Complaint, Sumner Mountain Rd.- Report of loose dog.
     Officer located animal under the control of owner in the Atkins
     Reservoir area.  Owner was advised of leash law and the
     restriction of animals on reservoir property.
 
1250 Traffic Stop, Pelham Hill Rd.- Citation issued for speeding and
     no registration in possession.
 
1305 Traffic Stop, Leverett Rd.- Citation issued for speeding.
 
2035 Suspicious Activity, Leverett Rd.- Offcier checking West Cemetary
     found two juveniles on the east end of the property.  Both were
     transported to their homes and their parents were advised.
 
2100 Suspicious Activity, Leverett Rd.- Resident reported
     someone/something shaking the windows of the house.
     Investigation by officer failed to indicate anyone in the area or
     any damage to the house.


22 August

1730 Assist Person, School House Rd.- Resident requested checks of
     house following the discharge of an employee.


24 August

1740 Traffic Stop, Wendell rd.- Citation issued for speeding.
 
1800 Animal Complaint, Wendell Rd.- Report of loose dog in Wendell
     Rd. area.  Officer located dog and returned to owner on Lakeview
     Rd.  Owner advised of Town leash laws.
 
2000 Illegal Fire, Old Egypt Rd.- Officer on patrol observed a large
     outside fire at a residence on Old Egypt.  SFD responded to
     extinguish fire and residents were advised of the restrictions on
     outdoor fires.
 
2100 Suspicious Vehicles, Randall Rd.- Officers checked two vehicles
     parked at the Town boat ramp after dark.
 
2153 Assist Other Dept., Rte 202- New Salem officer requested
     assistance on a traffic stop in their town.


25 August

0920 Emergency 911 Hang-Up, Birch Dr.- Resident called 911 to report a
     "sick raccoon".  Responding offiicer determined that he animal
     was in Leverett and Leverett PD had an officer on scene.
 
1015 Traffic Stop, West Pelham Rd.- Citation issued for speeding.
 
1310 Traffic Stop, Lakeview Rd.- Citation issued for speeding,
     operating after license revocation, no registration in
     possession.  Operator was issued summons and vehicle was towed.


26 August

2130 Assist Other Dept., MSP- State Police requested a welfare check
     at a Leverett Rd.  residence related to a possible missing
     person.  Negative contact at residence.


27 August

2055 Domestic Dispute, Haskins Way- Officers responded to a reported
     domestic dispute between an adult and a child at a Haskins Way
     residence.
 
2115 MVA, Montague Rd.- Officer responded to a single car MVA.
     Operator was transported to hospital by Amherst Fire Dept.
     Operator cited for driving too fast for conditions.


28 August

0735 Road Hazard, Prescott Rd.- Citizen reported a large amount of
     loose gravel in the road at Prescott Rd. and Rte 202.  Higway
     Dept advised.
 
0935 Animal Complaint, Lakeview Rd.- Resident reported a loose dog in
     the State Beach area.  Town Dog Officer was contacted to respond.


30 August

2000 Found Animal, Pratt Corner Rd.- Resident reported finding stray
     dog.  Responding officer placed animal in custody of Town Dog
     Officer.


31 August

1330 Traffic Stop, Leverett Rd.- Citation issued for speeding and
     expired inspection sticker.
