0815 Traffic Stop, Leverett Rd. -  Citation issued for speeding.
           
1320 B&E Motor Vehicle, Rte 202- Vehicle owner reported her car was
     broken into while parked at rest area, Rte 202 & Prescott Rd.
 

02 July

1745 A&B on a Child, Leverett Rd. - Officers responded to a report of
     a child out of control.  Investigation resulted in the arrest of
     Steven MacDougall, 42, 113 Leverett Rd. on two charges of A&B on
     a Child.
 

03 July

1905 Traffic Stop, Wendell Rd. - Citation issued for speeding
           
1930 Traffic Stop, Lakeview Rd, - Citation issued for following too
     close.
 
2000 Traffic Stop, Locks Pond Rd. - Citation issued for speeding.
 
2010 Assist Other Dept., New Salem - Officer requested to assist New
     Salem PD with traffic stop.
 
2030 Parking Complaint, Lakeview Rd. - Officer investigated a
     complaint of a vehicle blocking traffic on Lakeview Rd.  Owner
     located and vehicle moved.
 
2300 Medical Assist, Town Hall- Citizen in station to request medical
     attention for inflammation of the eyes.  SFD & AFD responded,
     patient transported by AFD.
 

06 July

0900 Vandalism, Pine Dr. - Officer took a report of damage to a
     privately owned marker buoy on the lake.
 
1110 Larceny, Cushman Rd. - Utility contractor reported the theft of a
     small trailer from the area of the power lines where they had
     been working.
 
1520 Erratic Operation, Lakeview Rd. - Officers investigated a report
     from Montague PD of erratic operation of a vehicle in the Lake
     area.  Officers located the vehicle on Oak Knoll.  In the course
     of interviewing the owner of the vehicle, one handgun and rifle
     were removed from vehicle by officers.  Vehicle owner's firearms
     license revoked, charges pending.
           
1650 Assist Other PD, Pelham - Pelham officer requested assistance
     with motor vehicle stop.  Several occupants of the vehicle were
     found to have current warrants; Shutesbury officer assisted with
     arrest and booking.
 
1930 Traffic Stop, West Pelham Rd. - Two citations issued to motorists
     for speeding.
 
2010 Traffic Stop, West Pelham Rd. -Citation issued for speeding.

1220 Traffic Stop, Leverett Rd. - Citation issued for speeding.
 

08 July

1100 Traffic Stop, Lakeview Rd. - Citation issued for speeding.
 
1400 Traffic Stop, Montague Rd. - Citation issued for speeding.
 
1640 Medical Assist, Town Hall - Resident requested minor medical
     assistance after they had fallen off their bicycle.
 
1645 Medical Assist, State Beach - Officer assisted EMT's with a
     patient at the State beach reported to be having a seizure.
     Transported by AFD.
 

09 July

1530 Hazard, Shore Dr. - Police and fire responded t a report of a
     tree down across power lines.  No loss of power reported,
     National Grid responded to remove tree.
 

11 July

1730 Traffic Stop, Pelham Hill Rd. - Citation issued for speeding.
 
1930 Fire Alarm, Montague Rd. - Officer responded with Fire Dept. to
     report of fire alarm sounding.
 
2005 Assist Person, Sand Hill Rd.- Officer assisted person who was
     locked out of their vehicle.
 

12 July

1305 Traffic Stop, Cooleyville Rd. - Citation issued for speeding.
 
1405 Traffic Stop, Wendell Rd. - Citation issued for speeding.
 
2130 Suspicious M/v, elementary School - Officer checking the school
     observed a vehicle I parked near the front door.  Operator was
     identified as a school staff member.
 

13 July

1400 Suspicious Activity, Spears Library- Caller reported several
     teenagers seen drinking behind library.  Check of area by officer
     found empty liquor bottles, no one in area.
 
1530 M/V Accident, Locks Pond Rd. - Officers investigated an accident
     involving a small truck and a car.  Cyclist transported to
     hospital by AFD ambulance.
 
1735 Traffic Stop, Stowell Rd. - Citation issued for speeding
 
1900 Suspicious vehicle, Montague Rd. - Resident reported an unknown
     car in his driveway.  Check of the area by officer located
     vehicle owner who stated she was looking at houses for sale i! n
     the a rea.
 

14 July

1050 Traffic Enforcement, Wendell Rd. - Officer conducting traffic
     enforcement in Wendell rd area after receiving several complaints
     from residents about speeding vehicles.
 
1310 Medical Assist, Leverett Rd. - Officer assisted SFD & AFD after
     responding to a call of an individual who had fallen from a
     ladder.  Patient transported to hospital by AFD.
 
1830 Medical Assist, Lake Dr. - Officer assisted SFD & AFD with a
     patient who had fallen.
