01 January
MVA, West Pelham Rd.- Officer conducted follow up investigation
for single car accident on West Pelham Rd.
1445 vandalism, Locks Pond Rd.- Resident reported that several
mailboxes in the area had been knocked down overnight.
02 January
1020 alarm Activation, Round Hill Rd.- Officer responded to an alarm
activation at a residence on Round Hill Rd. Building was found
to be secure, key holder was advised.
05 January
1230 Suspicious Vehicle, Pratt Corner Rd.- Resident requested an
officer to check a motorist parked in the area. Operator was
identified, checked and sent on their way.
1650 Animal Complaint, In-Station- Dog officer reported she had
identified the owner of a loose dog which had been picked up in
the lake area earlier in the day. Attempts to contact owner were
unsuccessful.
1715 Traffic Stop, Locks Pond Rd- Operator issued citation for
speeding.
06 January
1810 Traffic Stop, Leverett Rd.- Citation issued to operator for
speeding.
07 January
1045 Assist Citizen, Old Egypt Rd.- Resident requested information on
brush burning permits.
1800 Assist Other Agency, Rte 202- Assisted New Salem PD with traffic
control on Rte 202.
1905 Traffic Stop, Leverett Rd.- Operator issued citation for
speeding.
08 January
0845 Info From Other PD, B&E- State Police, Belchertown Barracks
reported they had conducted an investigation into the B&E and
Assault at a home in the reservoir area which occurred during the
early hours of January 6. Investigation pending.
1800 Assist, In-Station- Officer on duty assisted dog officer with
ongoing loose dog issue.
09 January
0840 Disabled M/V, Rte. 202- Officer assisted a motorist with disabled
vehicle on Rte 202, vehicle towed.
1645 Info From Other PD -Northampton PD requested assistance with
locating Shutesbury resident. Resident was located and
transported to Northampton where he was placed under arrest.
10 January
1510 Missing Person, Baker Rd.- Officer took a report of a missing
person who had left Shutesbury and not arrived at their
destination.
1850 Vehicle Fire, Wendell Rd. - Officer assisted Fire Dept. with
vehicle fully involved. No injuries, vehicle towed from scene.
11 January
1230 Missing Person/Follow-Up- Individual reported missing was located
in New York City, next of kin advised.
15 January
1630 Hazard, Old Wendell Rd.- Resident reported that a tree is down,
partially obstructing road. Highway Dept advised.
1645 Assist Person, Phone- Resident called requesting information on
restraining order.
1745 Hazard, Stowell Rd.- Report of tree obstructing roadway. Highway
Dept. advised.
2130 Suspicious Person, Lake Wyola Area- Resident reported suspicious
individual in vehicle loitering in the lake area. Officer
checked individual based on information from reporting party.
