0810 Traffic Stop, W. Pelham Rd- Operator issued citation for speeding
1515 DMV, Route 202- Officer provided traffic control for disabled
logging truck until Arsenault Towing removed truck.
03 November
0735 Traffic Stop, W. Pelham Rd.- Operator issued citation for
speeding.
1600 Suspicious Activity, W. Pelham Rd.-Officers investigated a report
of skateboarders in roadway. Three teenage males were
identified.
2250 Noise Complaint, Cushman Rd.- Officers investigated a complaint
of loud party at residence on Cushman Rd. Unfounded.
04 November
1330 Suspicious Activity, Leverett Rd.- Resident reported several
pumpkins had been removed from their property.
05 November
1030 Suspicious Activity, Montague Rd.- Officer investigated report of
shots being fired in woods off Montague Rd. Gone on arrival.
1620 Traffic Stop, Cooleyville Rd.- Operator issued citation for
speeding.
1630 Citizen Complaint, Wendell Rd.- Complaint of ongoing roadside
trash problem. Resident advised of complaint. Problem resolved
1645 Traffic Stop, Leverett Rd.- Operator issued citation for
speeding.
1700 Citizen Complaint, Locks Pond Rd.- Resident reported power outage
in lake area. National Grid contacted and reported power to be
restored by 1900. Resident advised.
06 November
0650 Traffic Stop, Pelham Hill Rd.- Operator issued citation for
speeding.
0740 Traffic Stop, Lake View Rd.- Operator issued citation for
speeding.
1550 Medical Assist, King Rd.- Officers assisted Shutesbury EMS with
resident who had fallen from roof. Amherst Fire responded,
resident declined transport to hospital.
07 November
0730 Traffic Control, W. Pelham Rd.- Speed board sign placed near
elementary school.
0900 Medical Response, Elementary School- Officer responded with
Shutesbury EMS to elementary school to evaluate a student with
bloody nose. Parent notified and was taken with child to
hospital by Amherst Fire Dept. ambulance.
1105 E-911 Hang-up, Leverett Rd.- Officer responded to a Leverett Rd
residence for a reported 911 emergency call hang up. Responding
officer found Verizon employee checking phone line at residence.
08 November
0735 Traffic Stop, W. Pelham Rd.- Operator issued citation for
speeding.
0810 Traffic Stop, Cooleyville Rd.- Operator issued citation for
speeding.
1350 Suspicious Activity, West Pelham Rd.- Officer investigating a
report of a possible vehicle fire found that smoke was coming
from a vehicle which had not been started in several weeks.
11 November
1230 Animal Complaint, Montague Rd.-Resident reported find a loose
dog. Responding officer reunited dog with owner, also a resident
of Montague Rd.
1300 Radar Detail, Leverett & Wendell Roads
1700 Traffic Stop, Locks Pond Rd.- Operator issued citation for
speeding and stop sign violation.
1945 Assist Person, Locks Pond Rd.- Disabled vehicle removed from flow
of traffic; owner arranged for tow.
2300 Medical Assist, Merrill Dr.- Officer assisted Shutesbury EMS with
resident reporting difficulty breathing. Transported to hospital
by Amherst Fire Dept. ambulance.
12 November
1540 Traffic Stop, Leverett Rd.- Operator issued citation for
speeding.
13 November
0730 Motor Vehicle Accident, Montague Rd.- Single vehicle
accident/rollover. Operator issued citation for excessive speed,
transported to hospital by Amherst Fire Dept. ambulance.
14 November
1020 Traffic Stop, Leverett Rd.- Operator issued citation for
speeding.
1050 Trespass, Pratt Corner Rd.- Hiker observed walking into Town of
Amherst watershed area. Officer advised hiker of No Trespassing
signs in area.
1900 Intrusion Alarm, Elementary School- Officer responded to
intrusion alarm at elementary school. Evening programs
participants found in building, activation accidental.
