June 17
2035 Motor Vehicle Stop, Leverett Rd- Motorist issued citation for speeding.
June 18
0950 911 Hang Up, Cooleyville Rd- Officer dispatched to residence on
Cooleyville Rd for a reported 911 emergency call/hang-up. Officer
spoke with resident who stated a child had dialed by accident.
1250 Radar Enforcement, Lake Wyola- Officer conducted stationary and
moving radar patrol in the lake area.
1450 Domestic Assault, Old Egypt Rd- Officer responded to a reported
domestic assault on Old Egypt Rd. Investigation led to the arrest
of Emory G. Snell, 26, of 85 Old Egypt Rd. He was charged with
Domestic Assault & Battery, and intimidation of a
witness. Subsequent investigation led to the execution of a
search warrant by County Task Force and Shutesbury Police. The
search led to additional charges against of Illegal Possession of
a Class D substance, marijuana, Cultivation With Intent to
Distribute Class D Substance, marijuana.
June 19
1000 Assault & Battery, Wendell Rd- A caller requested to file a
report of an alleged assault and battery which had occurred in
Town the previous day.
1640 Hazard, Montague Rd- Report of tree down on Montague Rd. No
reported loss of electricity. Town Highway Department called in
to clear road.
1730 Hazard, January Hills Rd- Report of tree down, obstructing
January Hills Rd., no reported loss of power. Responding officer
determined that section of obstructed road was in
Leverett. Shutesbury Highway already on scene and remove
debris. Leverett Highway Dept notified.
June 20
900 Traffic Stop, Locks Pond Rd- Motorist issued citation for speeding.
1120 Lost Property, Wendell Rd- Resident reported a lost cellular
phone, requested a report for insurance purposes.
1140 Suspicious Activity, Old Egypt Rd- Resident reported that she
left her dog locked in house. Upon arriving home, dog was
outside. Investigation revealed dog had exited house through open
window.
June 21
2020 Traffic Stop, Schoolhouse Rd- Motorist issued citation for speeding.
June 22
2015 Motor Vehicle Complaint, Pelham Hill Rd-Report of ATV's operating
on private property. Area search conducted, gone on arrival.
June 23
1650 Assist Citizen, Lake Area-Officer requested to assist resident in
dispute w/ neighbors.
June 24
0815 Vandalism, Town Hall- Officer reporting for shift found slashed
tires on police vehicles. Investigation pending.
1315 Assist Other PD, Pelham-Pelham officer requested assistance with
a disturbance involving weapon on Daniel Shays Highway. Assisted
with arrest.
1430 Motor Vehicle Accident, Rte 202- Caller reported single car motor
vehicle accident in the area of the Pelham/Shutesbury line on
Route 202. Unfounded.
2048 Traffic Stop, Leverett Rd-Motorist issued citation for speeding.
June 25
0800 Community Policing, Lake Wyola-Officer detailed to assist with
Lake Wyola Road Race.
June 26
1830 Traffic Stop, Wendell Rd- Motorist issued citation for speeding.
1840 Motor Vehicle Complaint, Wendell Rd-Motorist flagged down officer
and provided registration of car he observed operating erratically.
June 27
0900 Elementary School-School staff reported minor vandalism which
occurred overnight on school grounds.
June 28
1515 Restraining Order Violation, Wendell Rd-Resident reported
violation of restraining order issued by out of state
court. Issuing jurisdiction notified, joint report filed.
June 29
1030 Animal Complaint, Leverett Rd- Resident reported raccoon in
backyard, possibly rabid, animal euthanized.
