One part of our home-grown democracy is the annual election of local officials.  Shutesbury has 16 seats that will be on the May 5, 2018 ballot.  Now is the time to come to the Town Clerk's office to take out nomination papers.  The paper work is simple - collect 20 signatures of registered Shutesbury voters and return them to the Town Clerk by March 19.  That will get your name on the town ballot.   All elected terms are for three years unless noted. The following seats will appear on the ballot:

~Board of Health - two seats       ~Cemetery Commissioner - one seat

~Board of Library Trustees - two seats       ~School Committee - two seats

~Planning Board - one 2-year seat and one 3-year seat

~Select Board - one 2-year seat and one 3-year seat

~Municipal Light Plant Board (Broadband) - one 1-year seat, two 2-year seats, and two 3-year seats

If you can't get to the Town Clerk office during regular hours, I'm happy to meet you for a mutually convenient time to pick up the papers.

Town Clerk hours: Mon 3:30 - 6, Tues - Fri mornings 8:30 - 10:30, and Thurs 6 -8 pm
