For permission to burn brush:

Call Shelburne Fire Control at 625-8200 to get a verbal burning permit on the day you want to burn, as wind and other conditions that day may make burning dangerous. Brush burning hours are 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. The burning season runs from January 15 through May 1. The verbal permit is good for that day only.
